Manufacturer of custom-made funeral monuments for all styles and budgets
The purpose of a funerary monument is to honour and perpetuate the memory of a deceased person. It provides a link between generations and marks a place of gathering and rapprochement through the memory it gives. A monument is the symbol of immortality and corresponds to the need to remember.
Granite grave marker
Throughout the ages, stone carving has remained an unrecognised art because it reminds us of a stage of life that we prefer to ignore. However, making a funerary monument requires the artist to stay creative while respecting the requests and preferences of the deceased’s loved ones throughout the making of the work.
The advantages of granite
The tombstones, vaults, chapels, and other monuments that we produce are made of granite. This noble stone is imperishable and does not wear out or crumble, unlike other materials.
Customised classical and modern monuments
We offer a wide range of headstones, ground markers, and other monuments in both classic and modern styles that will gracefully stand the test of time, carrying with them the most precious memories of your loved one.
Thanks to their immense talent, our artists will carefully personalise your monument. In addition to having the freedom to choose the shape, you can add an illustration of your choice reminding your loved one from our vast bank of drawings, such as :
- a landscape;
- a scene (a man fishing, a child playing, the Virgin Mary, etc.);
- an animal.
If you prefer, it is also possible to ask one of our artists to drypoint (etch) a particular illustration, such as :
- a portrait of the deceased or a family photo;
- an object, a pet, or a specific place of importance to the missing person.
You can also choose special engravings or even sculptures that will make the monument stand out elegantly from the rest.

According to the client’s requests, all stages are carried out by hand (from cutting to engraving), on-site, and with great care. Far from mass production, this method allows the artists to draw entirely on their talent and skill. These monuments are often composed of several pieces, in addition to sculptures and statues, among other decorative elements.
Great names honoured by Granite Lacroix
Granite Lacroix has had the immense privilege of designing large-scale funeral monuments dedicated to the memory of prominent figures in Quebec society such as Jean Drapeau, Robert Bourassa, Maurice Richard, Adhémar Dion, and René Angelil (and his family).
Special monuments of significant size
Please note that our artists can also design the headstones by hand by hand in the desired dimensions.
How much does a memorial cost?
Prices vary according to the granite’s variety and colour, the size of the monument, and the ornaments that give it character and personalise it further (drawings, engravings, sculpted elements, or others).
For example, a standard 24″ wide x 30″ high granite memorial including sandblasting design, 60 characters (name and date inscriptions), base, and installation will sell for $2000 or more.
We will be able to advise you according to your budget
